The South Side Social Media Writing Internship is a 3 month program that aims to equip a capable writer with the skills to publish meaningful and engaging content that represents the heart of the South Side of Chicago.

• Applicants must:
  Be fluent in English in writing and in speech
• Have reliable access to a computer and internet
• Have the ability to listen, learn and repeat
• Have basic writing and research skills
• Have access to social media platforms like Facebook, NextDoor and Tik Tok
• Have patience with themselves and the team

Terms

The South Side Social Media Writing Internship is a 3 month program and the intern will be taught different content creation styles and tasked with creating and publishing 3 posts per week.

This is a remote position. You will work online only. No in person expectations or interviews.

The intern will be paid a monthly stipend of $300 to be delivered by the first of each month via Zelle.
At the end of 3 months, the intern should have a working knowledge of how to create and post relevant South Side news independently, at which time there may be another position offered with more responsibility and increased pay.
